Summer 2026 Update: Cooling Weather, but the kittens haven’t stopped!
Summer is over, but it’s still very much kitten season.
If anyone tells you kitten season has an off-season, they haven’t spent autumn at Tiny Life Rescue. Following our record-breaking spring, July through August kept our fosters, volunteers, and transport teams racing against the clock. From nursing moms, feral kitties, TNR and bottle babies – we have had it all!
Summer was full of bottle babies requiring round-the-clock syringe feeds to medical cases and unexpected litters. Yet, our incredible community met every single challenge head-on.

By the end of August, 82 cats and kittens graduated into their forever homes. Behind every single one of those numbers is a story: a foster parent who said “yes” one more time, a donor who kept our formula shelves stocked, and adopters who chose rescue. For a small but mighty rescue, this season was yet another reminder of what our community can achieve together.
None of this would be possible without your support.
You might think that as the temperatures start to drop the kitten requests will slow down…this has not been the case. We are still full swing at the rescue with requests daily. Please join us in our mission to continue saving lives! At the end of August we are looking at medical expenses upwards of $20,000 (Yikes, I know.) Of this adoption list, our little girl Patco ended up costing us over $7,000 in medical bills – and is now in a loving adopted home with her brother and sister! Denali was another cost, that poor baby ended up being FIP positive and we were able to quickly get him medical attention and he is currently in recovery in a loving adopted home. Pip had hefty hospital bills when she was fighting aspiration pneumonia (Was adopted alongside brother Chip!) We wouldn’t change a thing because each of their lives is priceless.
If you’ve ever thought about getting involved, there is no better time than right now. None of this would be possible without your support.
To everyone who donated, fostered, adopted, or shared our posts over the last few months: Thank you. You are the heartbeat of this rescue, and you are the reason tiny lives get big, beautiful futures.
